The Dutch Masters Foundation holds some personal information relating to you, for example your address, e mail and phone details and in some cases your bank accounts through payment of your donation, as described on this form.
We will also contact you from time to time, for example about renewing your donation, sending you the DMF Annual Report and Audited Accounts and other information about the Foundation, invitations to our events and newsletters. We usually do this by e mail but sometimes by post. Please note that in the event of priority booking, we will share your name and email with the Masters and your name will be given to the Mauritshuis to gain free access to the museum, so you can gain entry any time within its opening hours.
Because we hold personal information and where we process your personal data for the purposes described above in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) incorporated into UK law through the Data Protection Act 2018 (which came into force on 25 May 2018), we have updated our Privacy Policy.
The Dutch Masters Foundation will never share your details with anyone else to use without your permission and we promise to keep your data safe and secure. We will not transfer your personal details to any third party for the purpose of direct marketing.
From 25 May 2018, you have additional rights in terms of your personal data, including the right to request a copy of what we hold and to correct it if you believe any of it is incomplete or wrong and to ask us to delete your data at any time under the GDPR “right to be forgotten.” Otherwise, we will retain your personal data for the reasons it was collected in the first place and for no longer than is necessary or the law allows (for example, the law requires us to keep Gift Aid returns for 6 years). After that time the data we hold about you will be securely destroyed.
You have the right to ask us not to contact you and to withdraw the consent for us to contact you at any time. You have the right to have your personal information rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete, including its deletion or to restrict how we use it.
We will continue to contact you because we believe we have a legitimate interest to do so because as a donor you would expect to hear from us.
